Stig Asmussen, director of the Star Wars Jedi series of Rebirth Entertainment, said he hoped that the series would be a trilogy, and the third work of the series would probably be developed with the Fierce 5 engine.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster game Star Wars Jedi: The Fallen Samurai Regiment. The story takes place five years after the first generation game.
In an interview with IGN, Asmussen said: “I have always wanted to see this as a trilogy. How can we bring Carl and his teammates to a broader place than the first game? We have a very good idea about the time frame, story background, challenges faced by the protagonist, game atmosphere and the design of teammate roles of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. In addition, we also have some ideas about the third game.”
Asmussen also said that the third work of the series will see rebirth change from Fantasy 4 to Fantasy 5 engine, “I think this is a matter of certainty.”
